Marine ecology: NARBON 26th port equipped with Biohut

NARBONNE HAS RECENTLY EQUIPPED ITSELF WITH A 30 YEAR BIOHUT.

THE OPPORTUNITY FOR FRANCE2 TO PROMOTE ITS ACTION THROUGH AN UNDERWATER REPORT!

Vanessa and Gilles went to see the first fish post-larvae installed on the #Biohut for a few months. Very different fish species such as sars, muges, seahorses… were at the meeting.

We went to meet the only fisherman in Narbonne, Ghislain, who talks to us about threatened species and endangered species, the resource is getting poorer over time, biodiversity is in danger according to him.

To save these thousands of marine animals, Ecocean has found an effective solution so that they can find refuge in areas where natural habitat has disappeared. The port of Narbonne plage has opted for this solution to preserve its environment and act in favour of biodiversity.

Ecology is the key word of the town hall of Narbonne and these actions have been part of their policy of actions for several years. We went to the field to meet the city’s diving club, a partner in the operation, to check the effectiveness of these fish habitats.
