Marina

You are a marina manager looking to take concrete steps to support aquatic biodiversity? We work with you to develop tailored solutions that balance marina operations with biodiversity restoration and highlight your commitment to the environment.

Supporting you

We support you at every stage of your project, working closely with your teams to integrate biodiversity-friendly solutions within ports while balancing operational requirements and constraints with the promotion of your commitment.

  1. Preliminary assessment

A technical and ecological assessment is conducted to analyze the port’s characteristics and uses (operational zones, traffic patterns, infrastructure). This helps identify suitable locations for installing Biohut structures beneath port facilities and anticipate environmental and regulatory constraints. This step ensures the project’s feasibility and compatibility with port operations.

  2. Drafting of specifications

Based on the assessment, specifications are defined in consultation with you. They outline the ecological objectives, the sizing and placement of the Biohuts, as well as the procedures for installation, monitoring, and maintenance. The project is thus tailored to the specific challenges of your port.

  3. Initial assessment

An initial assessment of the environment is conducted prior to installation to characterize the existing biodiversity in the port. This serves as an essential baseline for measuring the effectiveness of the Biohuts over time. The data collected forms the basis for future ecological monitoring.

  4. Installation

The Biohut are installed by specialized teams without modifying existing infrastructure and in accordance with port operations. Work is scheduled to minimize disruption and ensure safe implementation. Each installation is subject to inspection and technical documentation.

  5. Ecological monitoring

Regular ecological monitoring is conducted to assess the colonization of the Biohuts and changes in associated biodiversity. This allows us to analyze the effectiveness of the program and highlight the results obtained. The findings are presented in annual reports.

  6. Annual maintenance

Maintenance work is performed to ensure the modules continue to operate efficiently and in an environmentally friendly manner. This includes technical inspections, targeted cleaning, and any necessary adjustments. These measures ensure the long-term durability and performance of the systems.

  7. Awareness-raising initiatives

Awareness-raising initiatives are planned throughout the project to highlight the port’s environmental efforts. These initiatives are aimed at port users, schoolchildren, and the public and include educational materials, activities, and events. These initiatives help foster a sense of ownership of the project within the local community.

  8. Uninstallation

At the end of the project, the Biohuts are dismantled and the materials are fully recycled. This step is part of a circular economy approach and helps optimize long-term environmental management.
