Whether in response to a tender or for a project in the design phase, we analyse the technical characteristics of the development (structures, phasing of works, site constraints) as well as the environmental and regulatory context. This initial stage enables us to identify environmental challenges and potential areas for action.
An environmental assessment is carried out to characterise existing habitats, current biodiversity and the ecological functions that need to be preserved or enhanced. This analysis considers the interactions between the project, the aquatic environment and the future uses of the structure.
Working alongside your project management and engineering teams, we co-design solutions tailored to the project: the integration of ecological habitats, avoidance, mitigation or compensation measures, and ecological engineering features incorporated into the structures. The solutions are designed to be compatible with the technical, scheduling, and financial constraints of the project.
A detailed cost estimate is carried out to incorporate environmentally friendly solutions from the construction phase onwards. This enables costs to be anticipated, tendering processes to be streamlined, and environmental measures to be integrated into the project's schedule and budget.
We are involved during the construction phase to implement the selected environmentally friendly solutions. Our work is coordinated with the site teams to ensure compliance with the construction schedule, safety regulations, and operational constraints while minimizing the impact on the environment.
Environmental monitoring programs can be set up to assess the effectiveness of the measures implemented and to document the results achieved. The data collected can be used to highlight the project's environmental performance to project owners, regulatory authorities and the public.
Once the project is complete, we support the transition to the operational phase of the structure. The solutions implemented are designed to be sustainable, compatible with the infrastructure's intended use and, where appropriate, integrated into a circular economy approach.
